2011 Thailand Open
The Thailand Open is done and dusted. One of the best events I can recall for many years, with sensational golf around a very impressive Suwan Country Club, just out of Bangkok. For anyone interested in a bunch of interviews I conducted during the course of the event, the links are below,

A Club of One
"The taste of extraordinary privilege is rarely savoured, and for the few who’ve momentarily dined at this table, it’s a flavour likely to prove both addictive and tantalisingly out of reach."

Golf Mag's Top 100
Golf Mag have released their Top 100 courses in the world once again. And once again, Pine Valley comes out on top, just ahead of Cypress Point.
Of interest to Australian's is that Kingston Heath found itself in the top 30, with New South Wales Golf Club at No.34.
New entrants Castle Stuart and Diamante both made impressive debuts in the Top 60, with Lost Farm, the Coore/Crenshaw designed course at Barnbougle in Tasmania coming in at 82 in its first year on the ratings.

PGA of Australia Centenary Launch, Sydney
Tuesday morning saw nearly 70 corporate and media guests arrive at The Mint in Sydney for the media launch of the PGA of Australia's Centenary year celebrations, hosted by myself.
(PGA CEO Brian Thorburn giving his opening address)
The highlight of the day was definitely the opportunity to hear from both Peter Thomson and Kel Nagle, both in the Golf Hall of Fame and two of the greatest golfers ever produced by Australia.
Interviewing them was a special privilege. Who knows when, or if, we'll ever have them in the same room together again. Nagle's clarity of mind in recalling his greatest moments in the sport is as lucid as a teenager's. His is a remarkable record, including 61 victories on the PGA Tour of Australia and the memorable win in the Open Championship of 1960.
The PGA should be congratulated on a superbly run event. It is a harbinger of great things to come for 2011, one of the most important years in Australian tournament golf for a long time.

In Bed with Stolzy
I've been doing a range of interviews this week with players about their "Tools of the Trade", and caught up with Andre Stolz in his hotel room during one of the rain delays on Thursday.
Dirty Feed ??
You have to love some of the terminology in TV. "Dirty Feed" refers to the pictures we get from the host broadcaster (SBS) in Korea, which the One Asia production crew then repackage for the world feed which goes out to close to 300 million viewers.
This picture is inside the production office, just before going on air. Sound engineer booth closest to camera, video editing next, and then director/producer, director's assistant and vision mixer at the far end.
